Over 800 visitors attended the Colacem Open Day in Rassina (AR)
Students and institution representatives, also from other regions, and local citizens alike had the opportunity to visit the Colacem cement plant.
The groups were accompanied by the factory technicians, who explained the main steps of the production process, the modern centralized room and the 24-hour controls, as well as all the technologies implemented to ensure high quality products.
It was an important day for Colacem, during which the company could show the local community all the results attained in terms of energy efficiency and emissions reduction. Achievements made possible thanks to a state-of-the-art plant, which has been continuously upgraded with the best available techniques (BAT), as the recent investment of over 2 million euros for the installation of a hybrid filter that will come into operation in 2023, demonstrates.
The great synergy between the company headquarters and the plant was the key success factor of the event, thanks to the coordination of the Communication Dept. Direction and the technicians involved in the visit to the various factory departments. Great involvement of the entire Rassina site, from the Director Giovanni Rosati to entire staff of the cement plant who, with professionalism, passion and expertise, explained and emphasized the importance of this entrepreneurial firm based in the Casentino area, among the most technologically advanced in Europe.
